A baby figbird chick at the RSPCA Wildlife Hospital Marley the Figbird was found in the middle of a busy road by one of the RSPCA Inspectors on their travel between jobs.

The Inspector picked it up and looked around for its family with no luck. Then he noticed an adult bird deceased in the gutter and thought it best to bring the chick back to the RSPCA Wildlife Hospital.

After a vet check and another failed reunite attempt with the other chick members of the family, Marley has now been sent to the care of a wildlife rehabilitator who specialises in rehabilitating and raising orphaned figbirds. We wish Marley the best of luck in these formative months.
