EMU will be opening its doors to the public at this year’s Brisbane Ekka from 9th to 18th August at the RNA Showgrounds. This is your chance to see the work of the RSPCA first hand and learn about best practice animal care.
There’s lots happening at RSPCA Queensland Education this June/July 2012 holidays. Check out the Vet Nurse for a Day program for 15-18 year olds, student aged 6-10 will enjoy being a Farmer for a Day and the Wildlife Crusaders program teaches about local wildlife to ages 6-12.
From Term 2 2012 we will be offering our Animal Career related days to schools and young people who would like to have a taste of some animal welfare related vocations.
Like to know more about how to care for horses? Then our new Horse Care Program is for you! This program will teach you about grooming, handling, feeding, health care and other important aspects of horse care.
The Girl Guides had a wonderful night finding out about some of the patients in the wildlife hospital at the new Animal Care Campus at Wacol, what being a Wildlife Officer entails and the exciting work of the RSPCA.

The RSPCA Victoria department has a great, new service to offer teachers of students with English as a Second Language. Your group can visit the RSPCA for a special session at our Education Centre and Animal Barn, or an Education Officer can come to your school for an incursion.
