A wood duckling rests in the hands of an RSPCA workerA little wood duck came into the RSPCA Wildlife Hospital after escaping a raging fire.

In the heat of the moment, this little sweetheart (who we named Cedar) became separated from his famil, and was lost, so a good samaritan came to his rescue, and brought him into us.

We checked Cedar for injuries after his close encounter with the flames and he has received the all-clear from the vet team.

Now Cedar will be going to live with a volunteer wildlife carer until he is old enough to return to the wild, in the area he was originally found.

When Cedar came into the RSPCA  Wildlife Hospital he was only about 3-4 days old, so he has a long way to go.
